About Us
PCF Care is a social care provider that supports children and young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health concerns, and behaviors that challenge others.
Who we are
PCF Care is a social care provider based in Bexley. We support children and young people from the ages of 6 to 25 who live with mild to moderate learning and physical disabilities, mental health concerns, and behavior that challenges others. We serve Bexley, Greenwich, Bromley, Dartford, and the surrounding boroughs.
PCF Care is passionate about improving the life chances of children and young people. We help them improve their lives, develop new skills, focus on their strengths, and promote independence and inclusion. Additionally, we partner with service users, their families, and stakeholders to ensure positive outcomes and achieve their goals. This means that we are committed to providing responsive support to children and young people, following a child and young person-centered approach that helps them gain skills, confidence, and control of their lives.
Our organization provides various services for children and young people with vulnerable needs from childhood through adolescence and adulthood. These services include:
- Outreach support for people in their homes or the community and supported living solutions. This outreach varies as widely as the needs of the people we support, including travel, training and escorting those who need support to attend college, work placements, appointments, and/or planned activities.
At PCF, our priority is meeting children’s and young people’s needs with skilled, experienced staff who can work with other professionals to ensure those needs are met. Our staff team has the relevant training to understand children and young people with vulnerable needs and give the proper support at the right time.
Our aims
PCF Care aims to ensure that children and the young people we support live safe, meaningful, and fulfilled lives regardless of their challenges. They are valued, respected, listened to and supported to live as independently as possible and develop their skills to adulthood.
We aim to provide quality, personalised, flexible, and responsive services to children and young people, adapting to their changing circumstances, their families, and other agencies to enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.
Our objectives
Guided by these identified aims, we look to achieving the following objectives: To:
- Provide safe, nurturing, and supported living accommodations to children and young people so that they can thrive and meet their needs.
- Enable children and young people to access various individual and group activities in the local community and maximize their independence, vocational, and leisure potential.
- Safeguard children and young people, protect them from abuse and harm, and ensure their welfare and safety is of paramount importance.
- Recognise each individual’s specific communication needs and work towards enhancing their communication abilities and empowering them to make choices by expressing their wishes, feelings, and preferences through various communication tools.
PCF Care measures its impact on children and young people by using our services to provide high standard of care and support. As part of our commitment to quality, we capture these impacts through
- Annual surveys of people we support,
- Comprehensive audits of services,
- Client case studies,
- Annual staff satisfaction surveys, and
- Continuous open complaints, suggestions, and feedback procedures
in all our services.
We are sensitive to service users’ needs and expectations by encouraging their full participation and integration into the community, aiding them in developing daily living skills and activities to promote independence and choice.
